About Me

My photo
I am a 42 year old woman that is about as happy and content as one person can be. My husband of 21 years and our 15 year old daughter live on five and a half acres out in the country. We moved from the city four years ago and never looked back. I homeschool our daughter. We also love our animals. Our daughter has a miniature horse and two rabbits. We also have a border collie, two cats (again), two pot belly pigs, four peafowl, three emus, 2 llamas and an undetermined number of chickens, lets just say ohhh about 200. I have many breeds, from layers to fancy chickens. I love poultry shows, I love fowl in general as I have come to find out through having more than just chickens. Chickens will always be my first love though. I do show some of my birds occasionally.

She looks pretty against that blue sky. I love to hear her doing that popracking(spelling?). I hope they all settle in soon. Sounds they all got disturbed yesterday. Good for your Dad starting a journal. I will check it out later. Congrats on the weight loss. Helen

She's pretty.  Sounds like she's upset though.  I love to hear them though.

He is cool - he kind of sounds like a cross between a duck & a chicken when he talks.  What a pretty guy....are these the chickens people say are "watch dog chickens"?  I enjoyed hearing him talk, I noticed another chicken in the background crowing, sounded like in reply to him.

I usually find guinneas very annoying.  I never thought they were as smart as chickens either. These are the prettiest I've ever seen.  How come you end up with all the pretty birds?  I remember black and white speckled ones, and brownish pesky things.  haha but nothing like these.

Wow.
