About Me

My photo
I am a 42 year old woman that is about as happy and content as one person can be. My husband of 21 years and our 15 year old daughter live on five and a half acres out in the country. We moved from the city four years ago and never looked back. I homeschool our daughter. We also love our animals. Our daughter has a miniature horse and two rabbits. We also have a border collie, two cats (again), two pot belly pigs, four peafowl, three emus, 2 llamas and an undetermined number of chickens, lets just say ohhh about 200. I have many breeds, from layers to fancy chickens. I love poultry shows, I love fowl in general as I have come to find out through having more than just chickens. Chickens will always be my first love though. I do show some of my birds occasionally.

Gooood Thursday Morning

I want to tell everyone how much I missed you all!!! Thankyou so much for all the kind comments. I see a lot more folks have recieved the Nice Matters Award. I know I am supposed to name three more. I will get around to that in a seperate entry. I have a LOT of catching up to do. My mailbox is FULL of alerts. Today I want to catch up on what has been going on around here though, before it all escapes this mind of mine. :)

Look at this. I want y'all to know, this gift has been the perfect gift for wintertime. Remember the cardinal pot with Amerylis from Dad and Mary? Well look at it now! This plant, is unbelievable. Throughout the last days...I can pass by it going to the kitchen and an hour later, pass by it again, and you can see it has progressed in its opening of the flowers. Amazing to have such beauty in the wintertime. Thankyou again Dad and Mary. This is just beautiful to see.

The first picture was taken day before yesterday...then the next two were taken yesterday. You can see the far side flower has begun to open up...and today, this morning..it is open.

****************************

About the virus...it is mostly gone. We used Spyhunter 3...the free version that will find the bad stuff lurking and tell you where it is on your computer. From that point we hunted most of it all down on the Registry Key. There is still a few things in there...but it no longer can bother us with constant pop ups or get into our personal business.  We got enough of it out that it is basicly helpless without all its parts.

***************************

I have a lot to say...and I dont like to make long drawn out entries..so I will save other subjects...other days goings on...for other entries.

I am going to pace myself. I am going to be good and clean a room..then make an entry. Clean a room, then make an entry. I figure that way I won't feel guilty about being on the computer all day catching up. ;)

I so missed you.  The viruses are horrible and I'm glad you didn't lose your entire computer.  I have lost one in the past.  Totally dead now.  Pace yourself on the alerts sometimes I have so many I delete multiple entries by the same author and read only the latest, then when getting into their journal, I go back several that I've missed, that way my inbox isn't filled to capacity.  And some journalers make lots of entries daily.

Big hugs and missed you lots.

Those are the most beautiful flowers I think I've seen in a very long time.

Kelly have you downloaded the free Mcafee antivitus from AOL? Keyword Mcafee. It does let some in once in a while but not very often. Those flowers are beautiful. I know Dad and Mary are enjoying seeing pictures of how they are growing. hugs, Helen

I love the flower, I had one during Christmas plus some paper whites.  Flowers growing inside during a long winter makes you feel happy!  Enjoy.
And welcome back, I am glad nothing serious wrong with the computer.  Oh, I have the same Rooster in my kitchen!!

Why do we have to feel guilty about doing something that we enjoy that isn't sinful or wasteful? I just tell my self all we worry about won't matter a hundred years from now, less for me so I just keep on typing.

The amerylis is just beautiful, I can imagine how that would brighten the winter doldrums, talk about a perfect gift!!  I'm glad you are on your way to getting your computer squared away, what a pain.  Isn't it something what can go on without our even knowing it is happening, often until it is too late.  Once again, glad you are back!!!!  I missed you, of course! :)

wow it really is beautiful.  my mom had one a few years ago that was lighter in color and it amazed me as well at how fast they progress.  You really feel like if you stare at it long enough you can see it grow.
