You know how on the backside of a calendar they show you each months pictures...well here is the one I was talking about. April, the one featured on the right, is one they have used before, and that ratty looking rooster on the bottom left has been used before too. I have better pictures of Pete, my Golden Laced Wyandotte rooster than that second picture. To me, that white rooster in front of the feed bag looks ratty too. I have seen some beautiful specimens at shows..and some of these just arent picture material. Thats my opinion anyway.

I have neglected answering a few questions, and I apologize. I will do that now. :)
The dogs are Irish Wolfhounds, except for Kylie, she is a deerhound.
The peachicks don't make the loud noise that the adults do, yet. They make little sad sounding peeps that will melt your heart. I do look forward to that adult sound though. Now all I need is a Kuckaburro (sp?) and I will have that full jungle sound going on out back. ;).
Where do I get my energy I was asked. Well, it is in my blood. My daddy, bless his heart, he has so much energy he makes me tired just thinking about how busy he stays. He loves to be busy though. The other thing is I probably get energy from stored FAT??? ROFL! Had to put that in there.
I would love to make my own calendar. You know, The Pioneer Woman made her own. I could make my own too. Is it too late to make one this year? Probably. I wouldn't know where to start. I bet I can find out how to start on the internet though. EVERYTHING is on the internet....right? ;)
Oh by the way, I DO love the picture of the pair of crele bantams in the bottom right. :)

When I first looked at those pictures, I thought the white one looked a little ratty, too--and I know almost nothing about chickens!
Do you store your photos online anywhere? Flickr, etc.? If so, I'd start there, and see what options they have for ordering a calendar. I know that Target and places like that do them, too. Last year, I put together a digital photo book through AOL Pictures, of the cruise we took in the summer. They did a great job!

I bet you can make your own calendar and no its probably not too late. I think I could (I mean its possible) make a calendar with this program I have but it would take me ages to figure it out. I'm too involved with reading journals and Club Pogo. Since I do have to keep house and yard sometime---- no better not try it. Good luck, Paula
Make you own calender. Helen

Write to the calander place and ask if they are interested in your pictures. Just never know until you try. lol Hope you have a great week. Janie
I'm the same way with horse calendars. They never measure up to my standard!

Kelly,
That's a wonderful idea! I think you should make your own calendar!!!! If anyone knows about chickens....It's YOU! I think you should really look into this!!!

I love how you say they are ratty looking...that is so funny! I used Kodak last year and made calendars. It was very easy & they did an excellent job with the finished product. It's not too late to do them now, I waited until right after Thanksgiving and had mine in about two weeks.
You should do one!
xx

I totally agree with you! I would never had bought that calendar. I have better pics of my girls too. You expect to pay money for calendars yes...but you also expect to see some pretty nice pictures to make it worth buying. I mean who wants a ratty rooster pic on their wall for a whole month LOL. FAT? Stored energy? Is THAT why I have a burst of energy every now and than!? LOL
BTW...were are my Serama pictures? ;) I want to see Kelly's sister :D
