About Me

My photo
I am a 42 year old woman that is about as happy and content as one person can be. My husband of 21 years and our 15 year old daughter live on five and a half acres out in the country. We moved from the city four years ago and never looked back. I homeschool our daughter. We also love our animals. Our daughter has a miniature horse and two rabbits. We also have a border collie, two cats (again), two pot belly pigs, four peafowl, three emus, 2 llamas and an undetermined number of chickens, lets just say ohhh about 200. I have many breeds, from layers to fancy chickens. I love poultry shows, I love fowl in general as I have come to find out through having more than just chickens. Chickens will always be my first love though. I do show some of my birds occasionally.

Talked To Ricardo

Okay, so he called me back. I told him Ian switched with someone at work for vacation time off and that we would be going during the time I would need to be monitoring the incubator. I told him they could come get the eggs I already had planned for the incubator, and they could try again on their own.

He says well thats okay, that they would just leave the incubator with me til I get back from vacation.

I said no.

Shelby asked what if they drive by sometime and see that we are here...I said well, if I have to tell them the truth, then I will, but I am trying to avoid hurt feelings.

So they will come by tomorrow and get the eggs and incubator. I think they should probably take their hen too. We will see about that. I really want to start to sever the ties with them.

Oh I also got asked who was going to be caring for my animals while we were gone...I didnt leave room for volunteers...I told him, and this is the truth, that I already have someone to do that.

Maybe then want to watch your hens so they can pic what eggs they want to incubate ;) LOL  That's what I worry about...who is going to take good care of my animals while were on vacation. I think my dad would do a good job but I don't think he would sit with t hem like we do out in their run.  Even Cory will sit out there with me.  A hen adopted him "Nala" and she jumps on him every time he goes in there! lol It's SO cute.  He loves it tho I can tell.  I think he's even for the chicken diapers ;)  MAYBE!  OH an by the way...if you couldn't tell Kelly was a rooster last week...you SURE can this week WOW I have to take a new pic of her to show you.

Give him the whole kit and kaboodle.  You'll feel better when you get it over with once and for all.  I know it's hard because I don't like confrontation either or to hurt anybody's feelings at all either and will go out of my way to avoid it.  Get rid of these people though, less stress.

They can go be weird somewhere else besides on your animals.

I definitely wouldn't want him around your animals when your gone. It makes me nervous with him just knowing at some point you won't be there. I would warn whoever you have to watch them, they might show up. (Hugs)Indigo

just thinking about them driving past, if any windows etc open, it could be your `house/animal sitter`
the fact they look like you would be just pure coincidence,
take care

Morning Kelly I have just been reading back on your last entries ~ you will be better off without those people in your life ~ I would have to tell them to stay away as you are not happy with them coming onto your property ~ I wonder if they would think about hurting your feeling if it was the other way round ~ I don't think they would give a hoot about how you felt  ~ I certainly wouldn't want them any where near my animals ~ Good Luck with whatever you plan to do ~ Ally x

I keep forgetting...your sidebar looks GREAT!!!!  OMG, I cannot believe that man had the balls to ask about who is taking care of your animals!!!!  I shudder to think what they would be like if he was caring for them!!!  Geesh, he is clueless isn't he.
