Just wanted to post some up to date pictures of my three 'baby' emus. They can look me in the eye now and they are only half grown. I have raised them well though, they are very sweet and not scared of people at all. You better share your bread though, I was trying to get the chickens back in their pen yesterday evening with some bread thrown in their pen. The emus knew I had bread and wasnt sharing so I got a pinch on the back of my arm! Naughty little emu! It didnt really hurt, just startled me. I did give them a little.
Aren't they just getting so beautiful. There hasnt been a day that passes that I regret getting these beautiful birds.

They are pretty and their feathers look so soft. Helen
Kelly your Baby Emus are lovely ~ I just knew you wouldn't regret getting them ~ I am glad they are sweet tempered ~ I wouldn't have expected them to be any other way ~ with all the attention and love you give them ~ Ally x
They look like they have been groomed. Sure are pretty. Paula
Love your emus. That is my idea of a real bird. Liked the pigeons also, use to raise them about 65 years ago. Bill
Thanks for visiting my Journal. I am too lazy or busy to make regular posts. I do read Dad;s Tomato journal every day. He sure gets up early every morning to make an entry. I enjoy his as I do yours, Bill
As Steve Irwin always said, " THEY'RE GORGEOUS!" I miss that guy! We always watched that show. LOL about the pinch....I sure am glad that it didn't hurt. They're going to be huge if they're already looking at you at eye level. WOW They are cute laying down...just the head sticking up. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

AWW I want some! LOL
Hey Kelly,
They are so cute! I am curious what you raise them for, their eggs, or plumes or just because you are an animal/bird lover?

They are so wonderful and I'm glad you are enjoying them. That's cute how they are like children and demand attention. Sorry about the pinch though. Kinda humorous. I appreciate the pictures. Love seeing it all.

They are stunning, their feathers look so soft...I want to hug them!! HAHA, that will teach you for slighting them with the bread!! The goats gently butt me if I am giving the chickens bread and not them. Animals are so cool in how they send their messages. Great pics, thanks for putting them up.
