BIG NEWS!!!!
Those guinea eggs are now guinea keets! Here are some pictures. Dad standing close by and ever protective Mom.
I have been outside (MAN is it humid) putting up metal posts and stringing the black netting on the posts to give them a safe place. I am afraid the emus may stomp the babies if they see them running about.
They are SO CUTE!!!
You can see in the last picture one is dry and one is wet...so some are still hatching. :)

I'm glad to hear they hatched. I was worried that maybe it'd been too long and they weren't fertile. That is so good. Some new babies at your house!
Those pictures are so gorgeous. You could almost reach out and touch them.

Awwww....they are so precious!!! I hope they don't get out to where the emus will kill them.

Awwwww! There is always a celebration of new life at your place...I like that!
Those babies are sooo cute. The only dealings I have had with guineas was when I went to a country store on pay day to buy groceries with my mama and daddy. Guinea would be in front of the store. Paula
Those are so cute. I remember how they looked when I raised them. They sure chance their colors. Good idea to put the netting around them. Helen
Awww adorable!
OK, you can tell I am back reading journals now...sorry! But what I want to say about your picture is...I only thought you had waited long enough from your last picture that you hair had grown and you had lightened it. I would never have guessed that 10 years had passed! Go girl!

Are these what people call guinies? lol That is what we called them in Kansas and still do. My grandma had a bunch of them. One day about 10 years ago I heard all this commotion outside. I went out and I had about 25 of them on my roof!! I have no idea where they came from. At first I thought geese were outside. They did not leave my roof until they felt like leaving. Really strange. lol Babies are cute. Janie
They are so sweet....congratulations to the new parents (and you too!) on their successful hatch!!! Awww, they are precious.
