About Me

My photo
I am a 42 year old woman that is about as happy and content as one person can be. My husband of 21 years and our 15 year old daughter live on five and a half acres out in the country. We moved from the city four years ago and never looked back. I homeschool our daughter. We also love our animals. Our daughter has a miniature horse and two rabbits. We also have a border collie, two cats (again), two pot belly pigs, four peafowl, three emus, 2 llamas and an undetermined number of chickens, lets just say ohhh about 200. I have many breeds, from layers to fancy chickens. I love poultry shows, I love fowl in general as I have come to find out through having more than just chickens. Chickens will always be my first love though. I do show some of my birds occasionally.

This Lady Is GREAT!

I ran across this wonderful woman the other day. She has two pet chickens. They are house chickens! She even makes outfits for them! (She makes the diaper thing like I want to be able to make for Phoenix, but with a whole outfit.) You have to see this, you just THOUGHT my chickens were spoiled! LOL!

Check out these outfits she makes for them!

one more...their latest fashion outfits in their own fashion show!

Well, I thought having curtains was spoiled!  LOL  This just means that you have got to get the ole sewing machine out & go to work.  We can't have anyone showing you up.  I'll be waiting............

Now we gotta add a few more hours to a day so you have time to sew cute little outfits for all your animals including Darby. How cute! Paula

I will remember where I was and what I was doing when I first say CHICKEN FASHION, and I truly thank you for sharing it with me. Smile, now that is just too much time, talent and love to not share with the world.

OK, when that lady blew the candles out and told the chicken, "Good Job!" then turned right around and snapped at it for pecking the wax drippings on top of the cake, and called it "Stupid", I swear to you the first thing I thought about was ANNIE BATES from Misery!  LOL This lady has flown the coop! LOL  If you need me to sew your babies some, let me know.  I can do that.  I'd be happy to participate.  I'd do it for you, but she's just scary strange.

Wow girl! You have been busy! See what happens when I slowly back away from the blogs? Life continues on. Emu's are cute. Next on your list should be peacocks! Not only lovely to look at, but great watch "dogs" as well. My cousin had three, and perched them at different places around the farm. Anytime SOMETHING, whether human, car, or another animal strayed onto his property, the peacocks gave out a heart wail. By having them on three corners, he always knew which direction the unovoted were coming. Just FYI!

Sorry, didn't mean to go on and on. Should have e-mailed.......Geez, there I go again.

I noticed the same thing Nelishia did. That lady is strange. I wonder if the hen has a nest to lay eggs in? Wonder how often you have to change the diapers? Does she have a changing table? Thanks for the videos. I wouldn't have missed them for the world.

Okay that was weird. At least your chickens are still chickens just spoiled ones. Don't know about the outfits.
Thanks for sharing.
Take care, Chrissie

Too funny and cute. lol All in what someone enjoys doing. I saw the dog outside looking in. Looked like a Husky or something like that. We went to 2 hardware stores today and for the first time in a long time I stopped and looked at the baby chicks. My husband dislikes chickens... that run loose out of a pen. The babies are cute. I had a pet chick when growing up. Of course it ended up being a rooster. lol My mom let him run in the house for a while. lol We had hardwood or lin. floors. He was so spoiled. Tried to run in the house until one day he got the screen door slammed on his head. Knocked him out! My dad threw him out in the yard while my mother was telling him that Janie is going to throw a fit over her chicken. lol Before long he got up... shook his head... and walked around for months with one eye closed and his head cocked to the right side. He would never sleep in the hen house. He would sleep out in the middle of the circle drive?? He died of old age.  I even picked up a baby flop eared rabbit today. It was sitting and looking at me with it's little eyes. lol It let me hold it. My husband said, "No you are not getting one." lol Hope you feel better soon. God Bless, Janie
