About Me

My photo
I am a 42 year old woman that is about as happy and content as one person can be. My husband of 21 years and our 15 year old daughter live on five and a half acres out in the country. We moved from the city four years ago and never looked back. I homeschool our daughter. We also love our animals. Our daughter has a miniature horse and two rabbits. We also have a border collie, two cats (again), two pot belly pigs, four peafowl, three emus, 2 llamas and an undetermined number of chickens, lets just say ohhh about 200. I have many breeds, from layers to fancy chickens. I love poultry shows, I love fowl in general as I have come to find out through having more than just chickens. Chickens will always be my first love though. I do show some of my birds occasionally.

Spring Cleaning

Its time. Time to get this house clean. I have sat here and shirked my duties all winter. I should do better than this.

Please excuse my absence this week. I feel I need to clean every nook and cranny in this house and until I do, I myself will indeed continue to feel Blah as I did last week.

I will be lurking about from time to time, checking mail and writing mail, but no entries this week. Its time to get up from this computer and get to it. By it, I mean...

Spring Cleaning!

It may take all of this week, and some of next week...we will see, but I have GOT to get this house clean. I think I will feel much better afterwards.

Kelly, since I retired, thirteen years ago I have been helping the wife with the Spring and Fall cleanups. I enjoy it, the smell of Lysol and the other cleaners and polishes just make the whole house a good place to be. My other task besides vacuuming the upstairs rooms are cleaning the bathrooms. Love doing that since I really make them sparkle. I use a lambs wool automobile cleaning glove that speeds up the whole job and really picks up the dirt. Also use that glove to do the Venetian blinds. Never thought I would ever be doing housecleaning but now I do it and really enjoy it. Bill

I'd feel better if you'd clean my house too. jk.  You know me, goofy.  I have been having that itchy need to deep clean my house too.  Curtains, mini blinds.  I must be crazy because I even want to wallpaper the bathroom.  Looking for a couch cover.  Tis the season.  I'll miss you GF until you get back.

It does feel good to have a clean house!  Then you get it clean and next week it's back to the messes again!  At least it is in my house!  GRRR I wonder why I clean at all sometimes!

I know how that is.  I've shirked many things for a year or more!  With Pete sick so much, me working more....just never seem to have enough time and energy.  I did take a week off work not long ago and got some things done.  And you are right, it brightens your spirits and outlook to know something is clean and as it should be!  -  Barbara
