I havent spoken lately about my three little Serama chicks I hatched out over the winter so I thought I would show a little video of Rusty today. He is just a little fireball of energy. He was the one that was trying to crow at about three? four? weeks old. I cant remember now exactly how old, but he was YOUNG.
What I havent mentioned until now is that he had to be banished to solitary confinement. Along with that crow came a grown up attitude in a little tiny chick. He was trying to mate poor little Ruby and fight little Rudy! The brooder you see him standing on his his home for now. He is one confused little man. You stick your hand in there and he bites you...but not out of meanness! He is trying to mate my hand. After he gets over that and you pick him up he is constantly doing a tap dance on me, trying to impress whoever will look. He needs a chill pill BAD...lol. He is VERY hyper! I did get him to settle down with me yesterday morning and we had some nice quiet petting rubbing time.
I wonder if he ever really SLEEPS???
Yes, that is a picture of Phoenix on the fridge behind Rusty...Shelby drew that about 8 months or so ago...and it is my favorite drawing of hers...so I always keep it on the fridge. :)

When I was alittle tyke we had a rooster 'Big Red' that came in the house and would sit on the plant stand and watch his hens out the window...and when something went on out there he disagreed with he would flap his wings and crow and stomp to the back door and peck it until someone let him out.
I would laminate that picture to preserve it.She is quite talented.

He grew fast! Talk about teenagers! He acted grown before she actually was. Shelby is such a talented artist. Laminate it and keep it. She'll be grown and gone before you blink your eyes twice. Treasure it and I know you do her. I still think about how sweet your were to get her the Jeff Dunham doll at Christmas time. Warm fuzzies when I think about your mothering. You're doing an awesome job.
