Checking in very quickly here. I have two new additions to our little farm. Here are Troy and Eddie. Two three month old billies. Much more to tell, will elaborate later.
Also, picked up five Americauna chicks Mr. Swint was holding for me...and he got in standard white crested polish chicks, straight run that afternoon! I have been wanting these for SO long. I bought ten.
Now I am going this afternoon (long story, later) to LOOK...ahem...at Emu chicks.
Yes, I am fine. I don't have a fever. I am happy, very happy. :) Euphoric you might say. The weather has enduced this I am sure. ;)
Will be back with details and more pics when time allows...may be a few days.
Everyone have a great weekend. :)
Love to all,
Kelly

Springtime at your house must be awesome. I love the baby goats. I've been playing this song by Tom T. Hall for Katie called, How Do You Talk To A Little Baby Goat, and she loves it and thinks it's so funny. Emu's are so marketable. You are going to have loads of fun. Glad you are happy. I can tell in your writing.

They are all very cute babies. Helen
Kelly I love your new additions those little goats are adorable ~ and the chicks are so cute ~ Hope you are back soon to let us know what is going on :o) ~ Ally x
I hope you're prepared for goats. If they're billies and are not altered, they are going to stink something AWFUL. I'd have them neutered if I were you. Also, goats climb on everything, although I imagine if they're pygmies that won't be such a problem. That said, there's nothing cuter or funnier than a goat.
Oh, you family is growing!! And your responsibility! Good thing you love it. - BArbara
Oh I am in love with the billies...they remind me of when our goats were young! They are sooooo precious!!! The chicks are adorable too, of course. Emu's are cool, are you planning on getting some? I'm excited with all the new residents you have, can't wait to hear more & see more pics. I am way behind in my reading ~ it has been busy, busy, busy here too so I understand!!
Love ya,
Lisa
I hope you feel better soon, hun.

The emus are interesting. Now the goats, I've had my fill of walking on goat pills. John's daughter raises them. You are a worker, I'll say that. Paula
Awww the little goats are cute. My husband has been wanting some goats to eat the weeds. lol Know what you mean about being busy. I have ran all day today! And running behind too! Have a great week. Blessings, Janie
AWWwww how cute!!!! emus? and you are only looking, right????? lol
Have fun. It's good to know you enjoy your life so much! You are truly blessed.
Aw, I LOVE the little goats! (pygmies?) Do you plan to have them wethered? If you don't and you have females (or get females) they'll stick their faces in the girl's pee, WHILE they're going. It leaves their faces a yellowish color. It's my least favorite trait of any billy. A few years ago we took a wether to the vet in the middle of the night (bloat) and the doctor gave us some pen-g along with removing some gas from the stomach. He says now you can't eat him for at least ten days after the last dose. Our mouths fell open and we were like we aren't going to EAT him! Apparently, they eat them a lot in Mexico. (I was thinking, I'm not Mexican, nor have I ever even been there) Love the chicks. We saw a whole bunch of them at Rural King today. Most didn't even have breed names of any kind but one was some kind of australian something or another. (or at least the word LOOKED like austrailia, could of been something completely different) I wanted to take them all home. Can't wait till I'm out in the boondocks and can buy as many as I want. I've been going up there and to TSC looking for ducks. Again, I can't buy any but I like to look. Can't WAIT to see more pics and hear all the news. Emu's scar the crap outta me. A guy that lived down the road from my mom had three and they always got loose. I was pretty young then so they looked like dinasours to me!

OH my goodness.. your journal is only going to get more interesting from here :) how cute! love them.
Hi Kelly~
AWWWWWW, they are all so cute! I can't wait to have chicks, just can't wait. And a having a billie would be a dream, but I don't think hubby would ever go for that. Several of our neighbors have them and they told me their awesome.
From one soon to be chicken lady to the other chicken lady: Happy Saturday!
Huggers,
Gayla
